There are a number of difficult and controversial policy topics in Canada at any given time, such as: gun-control; marijuana regulation; anti-terrorism; the sex worker trade; blue gold (clean water); and copyright and creative ownership. This course will examine a selection of these for their underlying power dynamics (Who gets what, when, where, and how?) in order to understand what lies behind our political differences and what this might mean for our future.
