POL 203 Politics of the Environment

What can humans do to reverse the environmental problems they have created? What political actions are required? This course surveys the social, cultural, economic and political reasons for global and local environmental problems. Emphasis is placed on different political contexts, approaches and solutions to environmental problems in the North and South. Case studies and audio-visuals are used. LL Lect: 3 hrs.
