HIM 404 Health Economics

This course will take students beyond using the fundamental tools necessary to apply basic economic principles to the health care field. Exposure will be provided on a balance of population-based health economics and consumer driven, managed health care economics. Consideration will be given to linking performance indicators to social goals. Emphasis will be placed on quality of life measures both from the local and international scenes. Lect: 3 hrs.
