PSY 813 Psychology of Art and Creativity

We are both creators and perceivers of works of art. The psychology of creativity is concerned with the perceptual, cognitive, motivational, educational and cultural factors involved in original achievement. The psychology of aesthetics examines factors that produce judgments of artistic productions as ugly or beautiful, interesting or uninteresting, simple or complex. PSY 813 is not available for credit to students who choose PSY 814. UL Lect: 3 hrs.
