MPS 106 Photography Production

This course introduces students in Photography Studies to the fundamentals of photographic and lens-based imaging. The emphasis of the course is on applied skills and understanding basic principles of lens-based image making. Short, topic-orientated production assignments explore photography as an art and documentary form and lead to a basic understanding of image making with cameras. The course includes lecture, studio, laboratory and critique sessions. (Formerly first half of MPS16A/B). Lab: 3 hrs. Corequisite: MPS 107 Course Weight: 1.00 Billing Units: 1
