HST 711 Canada and the United States

This course explores a pivotal relationship in Canada’s development by looking beyond formal ties, such as treaties, to political, economic, and cultural forces with the United States. It starts in the 18th century, but the major focus is on the 20th century, when the two countries were never closer.
