FSN 232 History of Art II

The course introduces students to the history of Western art and design from the Renaissance to the present. In its broadest sense, the artistic production of various periods will be examined in light of social and historical developments in society. Stylistic approaches and theoretical frameworks will be utilized in order to explore the complex role of art in both the visual and material aspects of Western culture. Lect: 3 hrs.
