This course is designed to give students an overview of both security analysis and portfolio management. The course covers the valuation of common stock, treasury bills and bonds, the trade-off between risk and return, the efficient market hypothesis, modern portfolio theory, equilibrium pricing relationships, and the evaluation of portfolio performance.
