CYC 805 Special Issues: Program Development

The development of specialized programs for groups of children and youth will be addressed. The processes of inception, needs assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of program effectiveness will be examined using current examples in the areas of prevention and/or postvention programming from the literature and the community. Students will develop an understanding of both the current trends in service programming and how to critique the strength and weaknesses of a program. Lect: 3 hrs.
