This course examines theories of childhood, community development, and educational equity in the context of Canadian society. The course focuses on four distinct communities in the province of Ontario; English, French, migrant and Aboriginal populations. The course examines social policy, curriculum, health and education for social development in both early childhood and school settings. Lect: 3 hrs.
