This course introduces students to both the theory and practice of frontline ‘assistant directing’ through guided exercises and work on student productions. The activities range from taking notes during rehearsals to performing semi directorial duties in the video control room. In single camera shooting, roles include organizing the shooting of scenes on location and scheduling the talent and production staff. Lab: 3 hrs.
