This course covers the basics of scientific programming and introduces the student to common computational methods with examples from medical and biological physics. It will cover topics such as random number generation, Monte Carlo methods, random walks, numerical solutions to ordinary and partial differential equations for initial-value and boundary-value problems, modelling/parameter fitting of real systems, and cellular automata.
