NUR 825 Family Health

Through this course, students will examine issues relevant to families in various life transition stages. Most particularly, students will have opportunities to develop a depth and breadth of knowledge and skills and apply these while working with families in the child rearing or child bearing phases. Issues relevant to beginning, developing and intergenerational families will be addressed using theoretical literature and recent research in family nursing science. Focus will be on advanced nursing practice with the family as context and family as client. Students will be expected to demonstrate application of concepts. Lect: 3 hrs.
