MPS 507 The Photographic Book

This course deals with the fundamentals of design expression and interpretation within the framework of the photographic book. In addition to developing a long-term book project, students undertake applied exercises related to the elements and principles of composition and design. Completed projects are critiqued in the contexts of traditional and contemporary design issues. The course’s main setting is the studio, where a variety of materials and approaches are explored.
