LAW 606 Advanced Issues in Labour and Employment Law

This course involves more advanced analysis of labour and employment law as a key area of socio-economic policy. In addition to a more intensive analysis of labour and employment law topics introduced in LAW529, the course also explores various new areas of law and inquiry, including: evolution and boundaries of labour and employment law; the historical development and theoretical justifications for the collective bargaining regime; comparative labour law; alternative models of employee representation; the evolving impact of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms on labour and employment relations; and international labour law.
