Students screen a number of long-form documentaries ranging from classics from the last fifty years to contemporary productions. Students come to understand how the conventions of documentary storytelling have changed over the decades. They explore issues of “voice”, stylistic and narrative conventions, shooting and editing styles, and other aspects of documentary. Lect: 3 hrs.
