ITM 702 Summer Term Practicum

This course requires that students obtain a summer job on their own initiative with at least 12 continuous weeks of paid employment, in work related to the program, in the summer between second and third OR third and fourth year. This course is designed to provide an opportunity to apply academic learning in the work setting and to enrich their academic courses with the experiences of the workplace. Objectives are to apply and further develop analytical and problem-solving skills; develop organizing and time management skills; experience and critically evaluate the organization’s practices and management/leadership styles and observe business in action. Not available to students in the Part-time and Co-op programs. Lab: 3 hrs. Antirequisite: AIM 402 Departmental consent required Course Weight: 1.00 Billing Units: 1
