ITM 505 Managing Information Systems

This course is intended to provide students with an understanding of the critical importance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in today’s business environment, and the strategic, tactical, and operational management processes associated with it; current industry issues and trends; tools and techniques needed to manage ICT, including an introduction to governance, and security and privacy issues; and an understanding of the human and organizational issues of ICT management. Teaching/learning methods include lectures, case analyses, and in-class presentations by students with feed-back on content and style. Lect: 3 hrs.
