ITM 107 Managerial Decision Making

The course emphasizes how to apply various mathematical techniques in the support of managerial decisions in the various functional areas of business. Topics covered include: Review of basic algebra (including linear, quadratic and other special functions), matrices, inequalities and linear programming, exponential and logarithmic functions, mathematics of finance, functions, limits and derivative, derivatives and applications. Students will be required to use an appropriate computer software (eg. EXCEL) and/or a calculator to analyze and solve business quantitative problems. Lect: 2 hrs./Lab: 1 hr.
