INT 920 Community Collaborations

This interdisciplinary course will assist students and practitioners to develop the knowledge and skills required to participate effectively in multi-sectoral community collaborations. The course will provide an overview of collaboration and will review common challenges and factors influencing success. Collaborative processes will be examined including community engagement and mobilization, outcomes-based strategic planning, implementation of strategies and sustaining momentum, governance, leadership, communications, and evaluation. Examples will be provided of community collaborations focused on improving outcomes for children, youth and families. Lect: 3 hrs. Course Weight: 1.00 Billing Units: 1
