HSM 437 Human Resources Management

This course will increase the understanding of the processes involved in merging human talents, needs and aspirations with the requirements of the client-centred health services organization. It builds on the theory and practice of leadership and communication skills, to develop skills and knowledge in human resources planning, recruitment, selection and evaluation. Topics include job analysis, performance appraisal, compensation, quality of working life, continuing professional education, collective bargaining, employee rights, career planning, etc. A case study approach will be used.
