HSM 310 Institutional Structure

This course is designed to explore the administrative, functional and management structures of modern Canadian healthcare institutions. Student learning will focus on understanding the corporate organizational structure, and the functions and relationships of major clinical and non-clinical departments. Healthcare organizations themselves are also analyzed with respect to the unique social role which they play and the contribution they make to the society in which they function. Lect: 3 hrs.
