This course is designed to facilitate in-depth analysis of key trends and issues in long term care service delivery and to explore their implications for management practice. Students will examine current long term care delivery systems, their legislative, political, economic, and social complexities, and their ability to influence and be influenced by health care professionals. Issues addressed will vary in response to developments in the field. Students will be asked to critically analyze these trends and issues in terms of their impact on the long term care system as a whole, the provider-client relationship, etc. Lect: 3 hrs.
