GEO 681 GIS and Geographic Analysis

This course offers social science and human services students opportunities to examine many analytical functions available in GIS focusing on the data used within their programs of study. Students will understand the potential of GIS in decision support in many applications including crime, population health, service provision, and sustainable development. The labs will be scenario-driven, incorporating the analytical power of GIS to solve real-world problems in areas related to the academic interests of the students. Lect: 1 hr./Lab: 2 hrs.
