GEO 361 Inferential Statistics in Geography

This one-semester course is concerned with the application of inferential statistics in geographic analysis. It provides the students with the fundamentals of estimation, hypothesis testing and other statistical tests. Emphasis throughout the course is placed on application of the various techniques, rather than on their mathematical derivations. It is assumed that familiarity with the fundamental elements of statistics and microcomputers has already been acquired. (formerly GEO 225) Lect: 2 hrs./Lab: 1 hr.
