FIN 707 Real Estate Finance

The objective of the course is to understand the economics of, and financial metrics used in the analysis of, real estate investments, development projects, financings and real estate capital markets. Students will also be exposed to the tax effects of real estate investment and development. Analytical concepts and methodologies from modern finance theories and practices will be presented in lecture discussions and applied to cases. Prior learning in micro economics, accounting and/or corporate finance are desirable but not mandatory. Lect: 3 hrs. Prerequisite: FIN 501 Course Weight: 1.00 Billing Units: 1
