FFD 513 Advanced Fashion Design I

This advanced course focuses on the research and product development of tailored apparel. Original design concepts are realized through inspiration sources, colour analysis and style trend research and textile selection suitable for tailored apparel. The creative process, production tailoring methods, fit and alteration techniques are examined in reference to a variety of apparel styles. Students develop the skills, knowledge and competencies required to work effectively in groups. Lab: 6 hrs. Prerequisite: FFD 20B or FFD 413 Course Weight: 1.00 Billing Units: 1
