ENH 721 Public Health Law

A final year course dealing with current issues in the regulation of environmental and public health hazards. Ontario and federal legislation is examined in detail. Issues include quarantine and disease control, chemical control law, food safety and tobacco control. The enforcement activities of public health inspectors are emphasized, such as ticketing, collecting evidence, laying charges and courtroom procedures. Lect: 3 hrs.
