ECN 210 Inflation and Unemployment in Canada

The course focuses on various economic theories that emerged after the Great Depression which emphasize economic performance and government policy. It examines how the Canadian economy works, and how the major problems of unemployment and inflation can be dealt with. The course also analyzes a range of economic issues-such as poverty and income distribution, deficits and debts, free trade and trading blocks, capital mobility and exchange rate movements-and the role of government. ECN 210 is not available for credit to students who choose ECN 204. LL Lect: 3 hrs.
