CYC 401 Theories of Change for Children and Youth

This course introduces students to how theory affects practice. Theoretical approaches to behaviour change within a relational context are introduced and applied to the development of children and youth from a normative perspective. Cognitive-behavioural, attachment, systemic, and crisis theories of change are reviewed within a multi-cultural context with an emphasis on personal application. Lect: 3 hrs.
