CRM 310 Advanced Research Methods

This course covers the basics of both qualitative and quantitative research methods and data analyses most relevant to criminal justice issues. The course includes observational, archival and experimental research methods, sampling considerations, survey construction and administration, laboratory and field experiments, descriptive and inferential statistics, and research report writing. The goals of the course are to teach students to read and interpret criminal justice research, and to eventually design and report on original research. Lect: 3 hrs.
