CPS 843 Digital Image Computing

Computational and mathematical methods for processing, analyzing and manipulating digital images. Topics include: fundamentals of computer images, basic image processing, image transforms, edges and their detection, image segmentation, warping, morphing, and registration, image matching and feature extraction, image measurements, colour models. Example applications, such as medical image processing, the use of computer images in the entertainment field, and robot computer vision, will be used to support the lecture material. Lect: 3 hrs.
