COE 828 Digital Sys Design Automation

This course introduces students to fundamental algorithms in digital design automation. It starts with an overview of the digital design automation methodologies and tools. It then introduces students to graph theory followed by several fundamental algorithms in design automation, including branch-and-bound, dynamic programming, and simulated annealing. Finally, it explores several specific algorithms in placement, partitioning, routing and logic synthesis. Lect: 3 hrs./Lab: 1 hr. Prerequisites: ELE 734 and (ELE 635 or ELE 639) Course Weight: 1.00 Billing Units: 1
