CHY 330 Atomic and Molecular Spectroscopy

A course which emphasizes an understanding of the principles necessary for the selection of instruments and procedures for analytical applications and a critical evaluation of the data from such methods. Topics include atomic and molecular spectroscopy (atomic absorption and emission, UV/VIS/IR absorption); X-Ray spectroscopy and X-Ray diffraction; GC-MS analysis; automatic and on-stream analysis.
