Selection, sizing and detailed design of equipment in full-scale chemical engineering processes; estimation of materials and energy requirements, and total costs; consideration of manufacturing and operating economics, process safety, and loss prevention; introduction to major design codes and standards; inclusion of environmental and legal issues, alternative design solutions, and professional decision making; introduction to modern softwares and tools for equipment simulation and cost analysis; introduction to major design codes and standards including API, ASME, and ISA design codes; and ANSI standards.
