CHE 338 Chemical Engineering Computations

Introduction to numerical methods with applications to chemical engineering problems; analysis of numerical errors; roots of an equation; development of computational algorithms and computer programs to (i) find roots of equations, (ii) solve linear and nonlinear algebraic equations, (iii) approximate functions for interpolation, (iv) perform least-squares fitting, (v) evaluate integrals and derivatives, and (vi) solve ordinary and partial differential equations; introduction to computing and engineering softwares.
