BDC 986 Creative Commercial Production

Advertising is at the core of private broadcasting in Canada. The focus of this course will be on producing work that breaks through the commonplace. The major emphasis will be on local commercials as major international corporations are frequently producing their product elsewhere. Course work will include determining selling points and client needs, writing techniques, analysing current media, deconstruction award winning ads and producing sample commercials. Lab: 3 hrs.
