Students examine, in depth, the content, cultural context and criticism, practical techniques and styles of the genre; its stage, film and radio roots; and its development from early experimental broadcasts through to the so-called “Golden Age”, to the rise and fall of the network era, to today’s micro-budgeted internet pioneers.
