ASC 756 Fire Safety in the Built Environment

This course provides students with an introduction to fire safety engineering. The principal objective of fire safety engineering is to provide an acceptable level of safety when an accidental fire occurs. Computational simulation software packages will be used to demonstrate fire growth and smoke movement under different scenarios. This course is designed for architecture students who have developed some basic understanding of fire and knowledge about regulations associated with fire safety in buildings. Lect: 3 hrs.
