This course introduces the design and assessment of environmental control systems in conformity with current codes and standards. Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems that provide anticipated indoor environmental conditions in the Canadian climate are investigated. Techniques for the design and performance of environmental control systems are presented through simulation exercises.
