ASC 401 Design Studio III

Technical and Regulatory Issues. Students carry out design exercises and projects of increasing complexity, and develop skills in architectural representation and presentation. Adding to themes discussed in previous semesters, this studio and its accompanying lecture component considers technical and regulatory issues including The Ontario Building Code and their contribution the design process, and focuses on the seamless relationship between technical resolution and tectonic expression. Constructability and durability in the Canadian climate is an area of focus. Lab: 9 hrs. Prerequisite: ASC 301 Course Weight: 3.00 Billing Units: 2
