ASC 306 Ideas, Tech and Precedents II

Secular Representations. A study of the cultural, political and technological forces and ideas shaping architecture in western civilization from the 15th to the 18th centuries. This historical and theoretical overview covers the Renaissance to the Enlightenment, using examples that embody the transition from theocentric to secular and humanist world views that formed the foundation for the cultural, political and industrial revolutions of the late 18th and 19th Centuries.
